Preparation of publication to describe the methodology used to support the development and implementation of local solutions to health workforce shortages.

This document describes the systems-based methodology that was developed within an action research framework, to enable the development of locally relevant solutions to workforce shortages. The paper describes three case studies where Health Workforce Queensland and KBC Pty Ltd have worked with local stakeholders to develop and implement new service delivery systems. The lessons learned with respect to workforce planning and service re-engineering, and the improvements to the methodology are outlined
